Market on Main Street

Posted by waltjeffries

After Sunday morning breakfast, we took a leisurely stroll through Stuart’s Market on Main Street. Did you ever walk into a grocery store to pick up a loaf of bread, only to come back with a buggy load of groceries? Well, that is practically what happened when I went to the Market on Main Street for a simple vine ripe tomato. Call me impulsive but the Market on Main Street offers the finest locally made foods, crafts, arts, handcrafted soaps, colorful flowers, fresh baked bread & pastries, local honey, entertainment, and a bounty of fresh produce you purchase directly from the farmer. There is something about a fresh vine ripe tomato slapped between two pieces of bread coated with mayo, and sprinkled with salt & pepper that I just can’t resist.

Dogs Day Homemade Barkery

Frustrated with trying to find treats to please her four dogs, Amy Gullikson began baking her own treats, testing recipes until she found the perfect one to satisfy all of her beloved pets.  Once she knew her dogs loved the treats, she began to give them to friends and family.  Soon, there was a demand for her product and Dog Days Homemade Barkery was created.  With the help of her family, much love and laughter are infused into each dog treat. We bought the Chicken Strips and Charlie loves them.

Seaside Paws

As long as you are picking up dog treats you might as well pick up a new homemade custom dog collar as well. Gena from Seaside Paws showed us leashes and harnesses for our four-legged friend. Every collar is hand-made with the most durable materials such as heavy-duty nylon webbing, stainless steel welded D rings, and contoured side release buckles.

The Native Bird

Fairly new to the Stuart Green Market is the Native Bird. They specialize in hand-mixed wild bird seed blends that will help make your backyard birding dreams come true! The Native Bird is a boutique wild bird seed supply company. All of their mixes contain only edible seeds, no fillers like wheat, oat, or milo here! They offer a variety of blends to attract specific birds, depending on what you’re hoping to attract to your yard. Some blends contain seeds with shells such as black oil sunflower seeds (a favorite to all kinds of birds) and some are ‘less mess’ blends that contain minimal shells, thus leaving little mess under your feeder! They also customize any blend you like, if you don’t see the combination of seeds that you’re looking for.
