About Me – Where I came from:

After graduating from the University of Florida in 1982, I went to work for a CBS affiliate in Tallahassee and began working in a Television Studio. I later moved into Commercial Production and then into News to continue my career in Television News as a News Photographer.

About Me- My Career

In addition to my duties electronically gathering news for several daily news shows, I worked with a fellow named Robert Burns and traveled the Big Bend area finding stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. We would pick an area to go to and ask around to find folks that still shoe horses, that make knives but never sell them, that are butterfly experts, etc. Our series was named Around the Bend. My blog is named after this time in my life.

I later accepted a position in West Palm Beach at WPTV Channel Five (NBC) as a News Photographer, News Editor, and Live Truck Operator. My reporter and I worked out of the North County office in Stuart, Florida. We covered stories from North Jupiter to Sebastian in Indian River County. Christine and I did a story once on Professionals that transition into teaching. Inquiring about it, I later became a teacher at the high school level teaching Television Production. Students learned the art of Television Production from me for eighteen years.

About Me – Interests

I have always been interested in photography but ended up working as a Videographer instead of a Photographer. I have always told stories visually but with the use of sound and pictures. Now, I only have my iPhone with me most of the time.
