With industrial decor, this is a great spot to sit at the bar or enjoy a live band in the garden and enjoy an ice-cold cider. They have many flavors to choose from and they have flavors to go. Lunch at The Taco Dive Beachside or Burger & Wings at Hurricanes
These are not your average hole-in-the-wall restaurants. Choose from several dive tacos including shrimp, steak, and chicken at the Taco Dive. Pair those with some queso, guacamole, and fresh salsa.
If tacos aren’t your thing, the original Hurricane Grill & Wings is next door. This was the flagship restaurant that started its successful franchise. They have gone on to open over 70 restaurants around Florida, so they must be doing something right.

Amazing must visit
Great
You should not forget Dave’s for breakfast, Archie’s for a great burger at lunch, and Chuck’s for a wonderful seafood dinner. Great article.
Thanks for including these restaurants in your comment. I will definitely have to check them out next time I am in town.
Love it! Only one thing I would’ve added is the Jetty Bars famous rumrunners! Love that you have the option to take them to go….to walk on the beach or pier with.
Thanks for including Heathcote. The bonsai collection is the largest public display of tropical bonsai in the country.
This article highlights some of our truly amazing reasons to love Fort Pierce! But it also misses what a lot of reviews do…the unique piece of our history of Little Jim Bait & Tackle where the bait shop used to be the guard gate and checkpoint for all sailors and soldiers being trained on north Hutchinson Island in WWII. Plus a fantastic charter business based out of Little Jim, Pullin Drag Charters, with a local captain who can be sure visitors and anglers of all ages enjoy our beautiful fishing! Come visit the Fort!
Can’t mention Fort Pierce City Marina or Cobb’s Landing – without first getting on a charter with Smokin’ Fish where you can fish inshore and offshore. Smokin’ Fish is operated by Ft. Pierce locals who provide an unpredictable and exciting charter! We’re talking all kinds of Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Tile Fish, Sailfish, Marlin, Kingfish and Benita. You’ll come back with loads of fresh catch which you can cook and enjoy right there at Cobb’s Landing. Talk about fresh and convenient!
I’d love for you to make time for us on your next visit!

Hi Chelsea: That sounds like a great day on the water. Will have to add that to my bucket list. Thanks for the suggestion.
Another area that deserves mentioning, and a must see, is our lovely shopping area on downtown Second Street, Orange Ave and Avenue A. There are shops offering great artistic finds, clothing, locally made candles and lotions, unique coastal-inspired home decor/furnishings, exquisite jewelry and last but not least, a lovely florist with gifts. They are all within easy walking distance. Of course, if you need a little break from all that shopping, there are restaurants mixed in the same shopping district for a cup of coffee, refreshing drink, lunch or dinner. And if you even need a complete makeover, there are multiple salons….so come spend an hour or a day, and let our shop owners provide an inviting environment to enjoy!!!
The Bistro on Second St is a go to!
Great article, don’t like to over encourage growth in this area as it is so perfect just like it is.
A unique restaurant not to miss is S&S cafe on depot rd. 5 course dinners prepared by chef Adam under $33
