Dive into Fun at Sailfish Splash Waterpark

Posted by waltjeffries

Summer is here and things are definitely heating up outside. In fact, it was just plain HOT! I am glad that my two nephews came for a visit because it gave me a great excuse to go play in the water. Sailfish Splash Waterpark is two fun-filled acres with exciting attractions for the whole family! This waterpark is a great place to cool off and have family fun in the summer season. There is plenty to do here at Sailfish Splash. You will find yourself peacefully floating on the lazy river, climbing and sailing down tall slides, and having fun in this water playground.

Up a Lazy River

Cast your cares away and relax as you float down this 1,000-foot lazy river run. A slow-moving gentle current drifts past nicely landscaped gardens and lets you enjoy a beautiful summer day. Along the way, you’ll find spraying fountains and overhead buckets to cool you off. It’s a great way to refresh and tour the waterpark.

Lazy River

It took us a while to find some inner tubes but you can still enjoy the river without tubes as the current will push you along. After about two laps we were able to find at least two for the kids. If you hang around by one of the river exits, you can snag one when someone leaves the river.

Water Slides

Slip slide away as you blast off down your choice of two fun and exciting four-story water slides. One slide takes you through a dark tunnel at a fast pace. The other slide is a bit slower with a drop in the pool at the end of the run. You must be at least 42″ Tall to slide.

Splash Playground with Dump Bucket

Oh, you are going to have a blast here. There are water guns and sprayers that shoot upward to keep you wet. Kids can spend hours as they splash around in jets, sprays, and slides in the interactive playground. A 300-gallon dump bucket will get you drenched on a hot day.

Things we found out the Hard Way!

#1 Check the height restrictions before waiting in line for 30 minutes at the “Wiggly Waters” cargo net walk-across or the slides.

#2 Sidewalks can get very hot under the blazing summer sun. Keep your flip-flops shaded and use them when walking around. Keep your feet cool.

#3 If you are walking around and expecting to stay dry, (and I can’t believe anybody here would be) Use extreme caution when walking past children at the water gun area with a look in their eyes such as this:

“Go ahead,” he says, “Make my Day”.

Wiggly Waters

Try and keep your balance as you hand walk across the cargo net at Wiggly Waters. There are inflatable marine animals at your feet to help with your crossing.

Competitive Pool

Regular swimming and diving meets are held at the Olympic-class competitive pool. Martin County also plays host to water polo competitions.

Private Cabanas and Funbrellas

Swimming Lessons

Summertime is the perfect time for swimming lessons. Sailfish Splash Waterpark offers swimming classes that are tailored to the needs of each child so that he or she can progress at a comfortable pace. Some children may advance more quickly or slowly. Instructors ensure that everyone receives the instruction they need.

Special Events:

Sailfish Splash offers many events throughout the summer season. How does watching “JAWS” sound while you’re floating in the lazy river? Each year the season concludes with the Pooch Plunge where they invite your canine friends to enjoy splashing around. It is fun to go out and see all the dogs splashing around.

Livin’ the Dream

If you go:

There are also lockers for safekeeping that you can rent. There is a snack bar that sells hamburgers, food, drinks, and ice cream.

Plan on spending two or three hours here. It is a fun way to spend a hot summer day.

Sailfish Splash Waterpark is located at 931 Se Ruhnke St, Stuart FL.

If you are Visiting Stuart and your happiness is a day on the beach instead of the waterpark, one of my favorites is Santa Lucea Beach on Hutchinson Island, and just past that The House of Refuge. Let the relaxation begin.
